Conventional medicine typically includes pharmaceuticals and surgical options. Alternative medicine includes options like chiropractics, acupuncture, nutrition, supplements, exercise and natural remedies.

    Physical activity refers to any movement of our body that requires energy and is an important aspect of health and wellness. Types of physical activity include: balance, cardiovascular, mobility, and strength. Engaging in physical activity improves our fitness, health and quality of life.

    Nutrition is the study of food and how it is processed by our body to make energy. Nutrition encompasses the things we eat and drink to nourish our bodies. It includes macronutrients, micronutrients, vitamins and minerals, supplements and water. It is important to eat diverse, healthy whole foods, especially when coping with chronic conditions.
